Meet Ashley - From Struggle to Strength
2015-2017
Ashley’s journey into health and fitness is deeply personal and rooted in transformation. Having struggled with obesity as a child and teenager, she knows firsthand what it feels like to feel uncomfortable in your own skin. From indulging in late-night suppers like fried hokkien mee and chocolate milk to navigating emotional stress and low self-esteem, her early years were marked by an unhealthy relationship with food and body image.
In her twenties, Ashley attempted to “fix” her weight through extreme dieting and over-exercising—clocking 10km runs daily and surviving on 1,000 calories a day. While the weight came off, she was left exhausted, anxious, and disconnected from her body. It was a wake-up call that real health needed to go deeper.
That experience became the turning point that shaped Cornerstone Movement’s mission today. Ashley rebuilt her health the sustainable way—through nourishing food, functional movement, and self-awareness. She discovered that true health isn’t about punishing your body, but listening to it with compassion.
Today, Ashley combines her lived experience with professional expertise. Her approach is holistic, evidence-informed, and heart-led—focusing on helping clients reconnect with their bodies, restore their health, and build strength from the inside out. Whether you’re just starting out or recovering from illness, Ashley is here to guide and support you every step of the way.

Meet Jeremy - Strength Through Every Season
2015-2017
Jeremy’s journey with fitness started at 17 when he first stepped into a gym while playing rugby in junior college and university. Over the years, he explored long-distance running, marathons, powerlifting, and strongman training—constantly challenging himself to grow stronger inside and out.

But like many, Jeremy faced setbacks. After leaving competitive sports, long work hours and recurring eczema flare-ups took a toll on his health. He found himself struggling with weight gain, high blood pressure, cholesterol, and sleep apnea—a wake-up call that pushed him to reclaim his health.
This experience shaped Jeremy’s belief: health isn’t just about how you look, it’s about living freely—without pain, fear, or limits.

Today, Jeremy brings that same resilience and heart into his coaching. As a National Council of Strength and Fitness (NCSF) certified trainer, he focuses on strength training, functional movement, and helping people of all ages—especially older adults—build real, lasting strength. His goal is simple: to equip clients with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to own their fitness journey, inside and outside the gym.

At Cornerstone, Jeremy believes in pushing limits safely, celebrating small wins, and creating a space where everyone feels seen, supported, and capable of more than they think. Whether you’re lifting your first dumbbell or chasing your next personal best, Jeremy will be right there—coaching, challenging, and cheering you on.

Fun fact? Outside the gym, Jeremy’s probably perfecting his next steak or burger on the grill. Training hard and eating well—now that’s his kind of balance!

Meet Hoi Han - Empowering Strength Through Balance
2015-2017
A major foodie, Hoi Han first began her fitness journey as a way to stay in shape while working for a food blogger. She was drawn to yoga, which helped her ease into movement gently, but over time, she discovered the transformative benefits of functional training — feeling stronger, more agile, and more capable in her daily life. This realisation inspired her to pursue personal training and take on a more impact-driven role in helping others build confidence through movement.
Born with hypermobility and naturally loose joints, Hoi Han faced physical challenges from a young age — including a ligament replacement surgery in her teens. Determined to better understand her body and support others with similar struggles, she ventured into the rehabilitation space. She deeply values the principles of functional medicine and preventive health, which ultimately led her to join Cornerstone Movement — a space where she could merge her personal journey with purposeful coaching.
"Keeping an active lifestyle has not only helped me gain confidence, but also improved my energy levels and instilled a sense of discipline. I hope to help others experience the same joy, strength, and empowerment I’ve gained through fitness.”
Hoi Han’s training style reflects her personal mantra: “Balance is key.” She believes that health does not equate to boredom or restriction, and her sessions strike the right mix of fun and function. Whether you’re new to fitness or looking to skill up, she’s ready to meet you where you are, and help you become the best version of yourself!
